Aquator was founded by tech entrepreneurs and yacht professionals to solve key challenges in yacht ownership and operations.
 

We built a platform focused on simplicity, reliability, and innovation to eliminate inefficiencies in the industry.

Founder & CEO

After starting his professional career in finance, Gerben moved to financial technology start-ups, gaining experience in building companies and developing technology platforms.

Taking into account the number of challenges present in managing a yacht and combining his experience in fin-tech and finance Gerben developed Aquator Marine a Yacht Management Software platform that delivers accurate, timely, and interpretive data that is critical to a yacht’s safety, operability, and longevity.

Keegan worked his way up from a green deckhand to chief officer over the past 10 years, working on yachts ranging from 20 to 65m taking on various roles onboard throughout his career. Keegan has managed refits and onboard operations around the world.

Keegan brings real-world yachting experience to the business operations and software development having operated yachts at various levels in multiple jurisdictions all over the world.

In these roles, she was responsible for a range of administrative and managerial tasks, serving as the primary point of contact between the captain, crew, guests, and shoreside operations.

Her duties included ensuring the efficient handling of the yacht’s daily administrative, financial, and logistical operations, while also overseeing crew management and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations.

Role

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive Marketing Associate to support and execute Aquator Marine’s marketing activities across multiple channels. This role is hands-on and diverse, covering content creation, digital marketing, events, and marketing strategy for both B2B and B2C audiences. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and analytical, with real-world marketing experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote start-up environment.

  • Support the development and execution of Aquator Marine’s marketing strategy across B2B and B2C segments.

  • Create and manage marketing content, including website copy, blog articles, social media posts, newsletters, and sales collateral.

  • Assist with digital marketing activities, including email campaigns, social media management, and website updates.

  • Contribute to content planning and editorial calendars aligned with product launches, events, and campaigns.

  • Support event planning and coordination, including boat shows, industry events, and company-led initiatives.

  • Collaborate with sales and business development to ensure consistent messaging and aligned campaigns.

  • Help track and analyze marketing performance metrics to support continuous improvement.

  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communication channels.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and best practices in digital and SaaS marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a marketing role.

  • Proven experience in content creation and copywriting for digital platforms.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (fluent).

  • Experience working with digital marketing tools, CMS platforms, and social media channels.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, start-up environment.

  • Bonus: Experience marketing for tech companies or SaaS/start-up environments.

  • Bonus: Interest in yachting, marine technology, or the maritime industry.

Work Arrangement

  • Location: Fully remote (location flexible).

  • Working Hours: Must be able to work European time zones and standard European working days.

  • Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
